Lymm is a truckstop first and a services second, and that is what makes it useful. It sits at the roundabout where the M56 meets the M6, so a lorry coming off the M60 at the airport end can reach it in about a quarter of an hour.
Food and facilities at Lymm
Costa, Greggs, M&S Food, KFC, WHSmith and Krispy Kreme, with showers for drivers. Electric vehicle charging is from GRIDSERVE and Tesla, with a large number of chargers from each.
A bed for the night
The Warrington M6 Motel is on the site. With the lorry park, the showers and food open late, Lymm is one of the places drivers plan their overnight stop around.
Getting back onto the M60
Because Lymm is off the junction rather than on the carriageway, you rejoin the M56 eastbound from the same roundabout and follow it back to the M60 at Junction 4 or 5.
Facilities, outlets and prices are as published by the operator when we checked on 2 October 2026. They change from time to time, so check with the operator if you are relying on something in particular.
Check the M60 before you set off
A closure on the ring can add more time than any stop. Look at the latest M60 traffic news and M60 closures tonight before you leave, and the overhead signs for what drivers on the road are being told right now.
