Burtonwood is the stop between Manchester and Liverpool. It has only one site, on the eastbound side, so drivers heading west from the M60 need to come off at Junction 8 and use the roundabout to reach it.
Food and facilities at Burtonwood
KFC, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme and WHSmith. Welcome Break says the showers are free, which is not common at motorway services. Electric vehicle charging is from Tesla and GRIDSERVE.
Getting back onto the M60
From the services, join the M62 eastbound towards Manchester. It brings you back to the M60 at Junction 12, by the Worsley and Eccles side of the ring.
Facilities, outlets and prices are as published by the operator when we checked on 2 October 2026. They change from time to time, so check with the operator if you are relying on something in particular.
Check the M60 before you set off
A closure on the ring can add more time than any stop. Look at the latest M60 traffic news and M60 closures tonight before you leave, and the overhead signs for what drivers on the road are being told right now.
