M60 J20: Alkrington Interchange is a small junction in the Blackley area, where the A664 Manchester New Road meets the motorway, with Blackley Golf Club nearby. Middleton is just under a mile to the north-east, and Alkrington, Rhodes and Boothroyden are beside the junction.
Harpurhey Shopping Centre is about a mile and a half south. Several places sit about two miles out: Broadhurst Park and Moston station to the south-east, Foxdenton Hall to the east and Lancaster Park & Animal Farm to the north-east.
Rhodes Interchange (J19) is about a mile west, and Broadway Interchange (J21) about two miles south-east.
