Fuel Near the M60

The M60 is slightly unusual compared with many motorways: it has no service area dedicated to the ring alone. Its main service areas serve the M60 and the motorways that join it at the same time. Each is a proper service area with fuel and food, and some have a hotel if you are travelling further:

In addition to those service areas, you can often find fuel near a junction on either side of the M60, at filling stations with a shop or somewhere to eat. Prices for the same fuel can differ by several pence a litre between forecourts a few miles apart, and with household budgets under pressure that adds up over a week of commuting round the ring. That is why our sister site, Cheapest Fuel Finder, helps you find the cheapest fuel near you, near the M60’s junctions and anywhere else in the UK. The traffic, the weather and the cheapest fuel: all of them help you with your journey on the M60.

Fuel Stops by Borough and Junction

The M60 runs through eight of Greater Manchester’s ten boroughs. Below are all ten boroughs, with the M60 junctions that serve each one and a link to where you can find the cheapest fuel in that borough on our Cheapest Fuel Finder website. Each link opens in a new tab, with the borough’s forecourts and the latest prices they have reported.

Before You Join the Ring

Filling up before you join the M60 is easier than leaving it in a queue with the warning light on. Stop-start traffic uses more fuel than a steady run, so a tank that would comfortably get you round on a quiet Sunday may not on a weekday evening. If you are caught short, the services near the M60 page shows the nearest full service areas and which junction to leave at.

Check the latest M60 traffic news and M60 closures tonight before you set off. A closure or a long queue can cost a driver more time, and more fuel, than any detour to a cheaper pump.
